The City of Chandler approves ILA translation technology, a one-year contract with TranslateLive, LLC, for multi-language translation technology services and support. The devices are language access tools that allow real-time, on-demand conversations in more than 200 languages and dialects, both in-person and remotely.

Folsom Cordova School District Spent $100K+ on Translators for Family Accessibility
Approximately 95 languages are spoken within the district, according to FCUSD spokeswoman Angela Griffin Ankhelyi. Each of its 38 schools’ main office is equipped with a TranslateLive device, and three schools have two devices each, she said. At $2,500 apiece, the district spent about $102,500 to break language barriers.

Chandler Tests Language Assistance Technology
The City of Chandler is currently assessing a language translation device to help its residents and customers communicate with city staff in their native language. The device provides instant translation of 120 languages and dialects, including American Sign Language (ASL) and is compatible with a Braille keyboard providing users the ability to instantly have a real-time conversation with city staff.
